At the Shayba Arena, the 3x3 RIHF Championship Liga Stavok Sochi XHL took place.
The Russian national team, SKA Saint Petersburg, Sochi and Rostov all participated in the competition. The 3-on-3 format is considered as a potential Olympic sport for the future.
In the first semi-final, Russia managed to defeat Rostov 4:2, before SKA saw off the challenge of Sochi 7:4.
Sochi then earned bronze by beating Rostov 8:6 in the third place playoff. Subsequently, in the grand final, SKA comfortably got the better of the national team 3:1 to emerge victorious.
More than 4,000 fans were indeed in attendance at the stadium.
