At the Sirius Educational Centre, a meeting between players of the Russian national team and those studying at the complex took place.

Over the course of many years, the Sirius Educational Centre has served as a training base for Russian ice hockey. Specialists of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation regularly hold training programs for the centre's students, and in the months of June and July, the Sirius Cup takes place which helps form the junior Russian national teams.

Players of the Russian national team Mikhail Gulyaev (defenseman), Vladimir Grudinin (defenseman) and Dmitry Buchelnikov (forward) met with players representing the youth Amur, Admiral, Aksay, Buyvoly, Severstal and Varyagi teams. They answered questions, issued advice and gave autographs to the young players in attendance.
