RIHF training camp for VHL referees

26.07.2023
During the concluding 10 days of July, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) is conducting a training camp for referees of the All-Russian Hockey League (VHL).

In addition to the work being undertaken with the referees, innovations are being actively tested and implemented within the framework of the event with the aim of improving the officiating. Effective officiating depends not only on the referees' professional skills, but also on their ability to work as a group, communicate successfully and to be compatible psychologically. Smooth interaction between the officials during games is a vital aspect of their work.

The Refereeing Department of the RIHF, together with the working group of the Institute of Medical and Biological Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, conducted special testing using the Homeostat hardware complex. The device allows you to consider the ratio of psychological factors (role positions and relationships in refereeing teams, individual styles of activity) with objective indicators of motor activity in the process of joint solution of the proposed tasks.
