Canada - Russia. A statistical look

This was the first time that Canada beat Russia in overtime. In the past, both have beaten each other on penalty shots.

The USSR national team played three overtimes against the Canadians in the Canada Cup. 

Defenseman Andrei Markov competed in his 60th Russian match. So far, he has 43 points (10+33).

In his 37th appearance, Artemiy Panarin netted his 20th goal. He has reached this landmark quicker than any other player in this current squad.

Evgeny Dadonov has 45 points (15+30) from 65 Russia games.

Alexander Ovechkin's goal was his 52nd for his country. 20 of his goals have been assisted by Evgeny Malkin.
