Vladislav Tretiak paid an official visit to Nizhny Novgorod

President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Vladislav Tretiak paid an official visit to the city of Nizhny Novgorod, where he held a meeting with the governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin and became acquainted with the construction of the new stadium.

RIHF president Vladislav Tretiak:

- During my productive meeting with Gleb, we discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of ice hockey in the region. I am grateful to the governor for his efforts in this field, we can clearly see how ice hockey is developing in Nizhny Novgorod. The region's teams are competing successfully in their respective competitions and more local players are being picked for Russian national teams. From our point of view, the RIHF is providing assistance in all areas related to ice hockey in the region. In today's meeting, we spoke about ways how we can expand our cooperation even further.



At the moment, there are currently 50 ice rinks in Nizhny Novgorod Region, and a new, state-of-the-art arena is being constructed. The fact that the governor cares so much about ice hockey is a huge advantage for the region!
