Friendly matches in America. Russia W - New York Riveters - 4:1

The women's Russian national team continued their series of friendly matches in the USA with a fixture against the New York Riveters.

This was the second game against each other, with New York winning the first 2:1. Pumped up for revenge, our girls began brightly and took a first period lead through Alevtina Shatryova.

Ex New York player Lyudmila Belyakova doubled the advantage in the third and despite the hosts getting one back, further goals from Lyudmila and Fanuza Kadirova sealed the 4:1 victory!

Next up for Russia's women is a test against Connecticut Whale.
