The first Student Hockey League season has begun

In Tambov, the first match of the new Student Hockey League took place between Tambov Derzhava and Nizhny Novgorod State University. This is the first time that this league has run under the Russian Ice Hockey Federation.
There was a special opening ceremony held before the puck dropped, held by honoured USSR/Russia ice hockey coach Vladimir Yurzinov, world champion Alexei Yashin and Vladimir Stromov. Also, Alexei Yashin held an autograph session.
It turned out to be a tight match between the two teams, and in the end, Tambov took a 4:2 victory against their opponents.
