Reaction after playing Belarus in Minsk

15.05.2023
Following the match between Russia 25 and the senior Belarusian national team in Minsk (2:3) as a part of the Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour, the two head coaches shared their emotions:

Russia 25 head coach Roman Rotenberg:

- We knew that the opponents would compete with a lot of desire. A lot of our key players have received injuries, but I can only extend words of thanks to our players for fighting with all their might. We've won the series, but for us the most important game is always the next one. We will draw the correct conclusions and prepare for the next match in the required manner.

The main thing is to play ice hockey and make the fans happy. Belarus have a strong team, they've got plenty of excellent KHL players and good coaches. Dmitry Kvartalnov never wants to lose. Thanks to our huge efforts, we have won the series by a comfortable score. I'm proud of this set of players. Instead of going on their holidays, they are playing for the national team and are making the supporters happy with their performances.

We need to win tomorrow's game before we receive the Victory Cup.

Belarusian national team head coach Dmitry Kvartalnov:

- This is an important win for our team, we were patient and managed to outlast the opponents. Ahead of this match, we only thought about how we can help our guys recover in time as a consequence of the short turnaround period. It's great that some of our previously injured players were able to return for this game. Thank you to our fans for their passionate support today!
