Vladislav Tretiak held a meeting with Alexei Dyumin

14.05.2023
President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Vladislav Tretiak and the governor of Tula Region Alexei Dyumin held a meeting in which they discussed matters concerning the development of ice hockey in the region.
Furthermore, the pair participated in the opening ceremony of the match between Russia 25 and Belarus in the Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour. When speaking, Dyumin - who regularly plays ice hockey as a goalkeeper - noted that Tretiak's wonderful performances initially inspired him to compete as a goaltender when playing the sport.
President of the RIHF Vladislav Tretiak:
- Over the course of just a few years, Tula has become one of the fastest-developing ice hockey regions in our country. We can see how the region is developing in accordance with a specific system and direction. Before eventually creating a team which competes in the VHL, the Mikhailov Academy was founded and a side representing the academy in the MHL was established. The Mikhailov Academy is now performing successfully in different tournaments across the board.
This success is all down to the hard efforts of Tula Region governor Alexei Dyumin, who cares about ice hockey and helping the sport to develop in Russia overall. During our meeting, I thanked him for his fantastic work. From our side, we will continue supporting ice hockey in Tula and we sincerely share the enthusiasm being shown by the Tula Region authorities. Tula already has one fantastic stadium, but we are working to ensure that more rinks will be constructed. Children and teenagers will be presented with even more opportunities to engage in ice hockey.
