Valery Bragin: "Individual mistakes cost us"

15.11.2016

Valery Bragin, Russia U20 head coach:

- We played a good match tactically, but our certain errors cost us. Penalties, individual mistakes and a lack of discipline prevented us from winning. Nevertheless, despite Canada making it 3:1 after we had scored, we didn't give up.

- Did the team show its character?

- A 1:3 scoreline after two periods doesn't mean that you will lose. You can make a comeback, and we spoke to the team about this. We scored a quick goal in the third, but an individual error allowed the opponents to regain their two goal advantage. We had a lot of chances ourselves.

- Less than 24 hours are left before the next game. Does the team have enough team to recover?

- Yes, two plays from the QMJHL will join us.
