Interviews after the fifth match of the Canada Russia Series

16.11.2016

Valery Bragin, Russia U20 head coach:

- The opponents were fresher. Yesterday's game finished late, and early in the morning, we set on our travels. The guys fought, but we didn't have enough strength to turn the match around. We have one more game left in this series.

Alexander Volkov, Russia U20 forward:

- After an even first period in which both teams created chances, the Canadians began to punish us for our mistakes. Probably, the tiredness took its toll. Nevertheless, we will have to find our inner reserves, the sixth game is the last chance to prove ourselves to the coaches. We have recieved a great experience, the Canadians have a different style of play.

Why has the series already been decided? I don't know, maybe the fact of travelling all the way here had its role to play. However, we have to use our goalscoring chances like the Canadians do. We will try to win the sixth game to even the wins score up.
