05.02.2017

Russian men's student national team head coach Vladislav Khromykh:

- It was a tougher game with Japan this time around, especially during the first two periods. In the second frame, Japan took advantage of our mistakes. Nevertheless, we regrouped in the third period, went back to three lines and achieved a positive result. Now, the main thing is to draw the right conclusions and prepare to play Canada.

Russian men's student national team forward Vladislav Efremov:

- Holding the advantage, we performed well in the first period. However, we failed to make use of our goalscoring chances. Later on in the second, we created problems for ourselves. We had a talk in the dressing room, eventually getting the win. All of the guys are prepared to fight hard against Canada.

Russian men's student national team forward Dmitry Kirillov:

- Our wastefullness let us down in the opening frame, we couldn't find the net. Still, we improved and got our game together. No one is panicking about playing Canada, we will play to win.
