14.11.2021
Following the conclusion of the Four Nations competition in Sweden, acting head coach of the under 20 Russian national team Vladimir Filatov and goaltender Yegor Guskov shared their feelings:
Acting head coach of the under 20 Russian national team Vladimir Filatov:
- We received a lot of information in these three matches which we managed to win. I think that the majority of the guys here with us are candidates to participate at the upcoming World Junior Championship, we tried to display attacking ice hockey and a lot of goals were scored. We are always in constant contact with the full management group. The performances of goalkeeper Yegor Guskov? Yes, he made a mistake yesterday, but he subsequently improved and made big saves to help the team win.
Goalkeeper of the under 20 Russian national team Yegor Guskov:
- All of these three games were really difficult. They proved that we have a strong team, we fought as a group and showed that we want to compete at the World Junior Championship. For me, the concluding match against Sweden was the toughest, they had a lot of fans inside the stadium who supported their team loudly. Our young players performed excellently in this tournament, they were hungry on the ice and competed with plenty of desire.
