The RIHF held a meeting concerning medical and anti-doping regulations

On October 21, a meeting was held concerning the issues of medical and anti-doping support for the matches of the National Junior Hockey League (NMHL). The event took place in a remote format via video communication.

The meeting was attended by employees of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Vladimir Shaidulin (medical department of the RIHF) and Dmitry Kanareikin (department of RIHF competitions), as well as representatives of the medical services of clubs competing in the NMHL.

The issues of organising medical activities of clubs, the prevention of injuries and diseases, first aid on ice and measures to prevent violations of anti-doping rules were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the regulations with regard to the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 which have been approved by the Ministry of Sport of Russia and Rospotrebnadzor.

Club doctors exchanged their respective experiences of working at competitions and discussed measures for preventing coronavirus from spreading.
