2019 World Junior Championship. Russia - Czech Republic

On Friday evening, the under 20 Russian national team will take on the Czech Republic in the second group stage match of the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Yesterday, our players got off to the perfect start, defeating Denmark 4:0 with goals from Vitaly Kravtsov, Alexander Romanov, Pavel Shen and Ivan Morozov. Goalkeeper Daniil Tarasov stopped all 20 shots he faced to tally a well deserved shutout in a difficult encounter.
The Czech Republic also picked up a victory in their maiden game at the tournament, seeing off the challenge of Switzerland with a 2:1 triumph in overtime.
Puck drop is scheduled for 04:00 Moscow time. Match TV will broadcast live in Russia.
