A new U18 World Championship record has been set in Russia

Russian cities Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk have set a new attendance record for the IIHF U18 World Championship.
After the quarter-final stage, a total of 128,703 people have attended 2018 U18 World Championship matches. The previous record was 115,140 from Belarus in 2010.
The U18 World Championship has taken place every year since 1999. This is the fourth time Russia has hosted the tournament, after the competition previously took place in Yaroslavl, Kazan and Sochi. The Russian Ice Hockey Federation thanks all fans for their fantastic support!
