The Russia U18 roster for the 2018 World Championship

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation can now reveal the Russia U18 roster for the upcoming 2018 World Championship in Chelyabinsk and Magnitogorsk.

Goalkeepers: Amir Miftakhov (Irbis Kazan), Daniil Isaev (Loko Yaroslavl), Mikhail Isaev (Ladya Tolyatti).

Defensemen: Anton Malyshev, Daniil Misyul (both Loko Yaroslavl), Daniil Zhuravlyov (Irbis Kazan), Alexander Romanov (Krasnaya Armiya Moscow), Danila Galenyuk (SKA-Neva Saint Petersburg), Bogdan Zhilyakov (Dynamo Saint Petersburg), Nikita Okhotyuk (Ottawa-67), Yegor Zamula (Calgary Hitmen).

Forwards: Ruslan Iskhakov, Maxim Sorkin (both Krasnaya Armiya Moscow), Alexander Zhabreev, Roman Rotenberg (both Dynamo Saint Petersburg), Kirill Marchenko, Ivan Morozov (Mamonty Yugry), Pavel Dorofeev, Yegor Spiridonov (both Stalnie Lisy Magnitogorsk), Vladislav Mikhaylov (Dynamo Moscow), Semyon Kizimov (Ladya Tolyatti), Vasily Podkolzin (Vityaz Podolsk), Dmitry Zavgorodniy (Rimouski Oceanic).

After a team vote, Anton Malyshev was chosen as captain, with Danila Galenyuk and Daniil Zhuravlyov his assistants.

Later on, the team trained in these following lines:

Miftakhov, D. Isaev, M. Isaev;

Galenyuk, Zhuravlyov - Marchenko, Morozov, Iskahkov;

Malyshev, Misyul - Zavgorodniy, Sorkin, Rotenberg;

Okhotyuk, Romanov - Kizimov, Zhabreev, Dorofeev;

Zhilyakov, Zamula - Spiridonov, Mikhaylov, Podkolzin.

On April 19, Russia U18 will compete in the first 2018 World Championship match against France. Puck drop is scheduled for 17:30 Moscow time.
