Five Vladimir Tarasenko facts
Vladimir Tarasenko has gone from starring in the KHL to being the face of the NHL, and much is expected of the St. Louis Blues forward at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. Let's read more about him:
Has Siberian strength
Born in Novosibirsk, Vladimir was immediately installed with a tough mentality and was used to going on long walks in -40 weather. His grandfather was a director of a football school, and together, he and Vladimir always walked to the sports hall. It used to take around three or four hours, and even if it was -40 outside, they always went.
Vladimir was just as good at football as he was ice hockey, but he eventually chose ice hockey because he enjoyed it more. We are all grateful!
