CIBC Canada Russia Series. Team WHL - Russia U20 - 2:1 OT
14.11.2019
The under 20 Russian national team conceded a disappointing 1:2 overtime defeat to Team WHL in the fifth match of the 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series in North America.
Russia took the lead in the sixth minute with Maxim Sorkin. That advantage lasted all the way until 22 seconds before the end of the game, as Team WHL equalised to take the match into overtime.
Unfortunately, Russia couldn't score that all-important goal in the extra frame, and Team WHL hit the target two minutes after the restart to snatch a 2-1 win.
The sixth, and final, game of the series will take place tomorrow at 04:30 Moscow time.
Match protocol:
Team WHL - Russia U20 - 2:1 OT (0:1, 0:0, 1:0, 1:0)
Goals:
0:1 Sorkin (Malyshev, Telegin), 05.41
1:1 Byram, 59.38
2:1 Addison, 62.05
