Vladislav Tretiak travelled to Almetyevsk

Vladislav Tretiak, the President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF), travelled to Almetyevsk.

He attended the Vladislav Tretiak Cup for players born in 2015 which took place at the Neftyanik Training Centre, presenting the tournament's winners and medallists with their awards. Furthermore, he spoke with the competition's participants about his unique ice hockey experiences and how to prepare for matches in the best way possible.



Tretiak familiarised himself with the facility while also taking part in an autograph session.



RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak:

"12 different cities were represented at the competition. Such tournaments are vital for the development of our young players, as it gives them the opportunity to compete against the strongest possible opponents.

"To be honest, it was surprising to see CSKA Moscow comfortably win their knockout games by double digits. Nonetheless, the teams which lost to CSKA were given plenty of food for thought and saw where they can improve. Of course, I would also like to congratulate CSKA with their triumph!



"I thank Almetyevsk for the hospitality shown, and Tatneft for their support and willingness to cooperate in the field of ice hockey. I wish all of the players plenty of success in their respective careers!"
