Russian Women's Championship starts

Matches in Dmitrov, St.-Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Ufa and Nizhni Novgorod  marked the start of the regular Russian Women's Championship. Among its participants are 11 teams (“Kometa” from  Mozhaisk and Dynamo St.-Petersburg joined “Tornado”, SKIF, “Agidel”, “Fakel”, “Tyumenskite Lisicy”, “Biryusa”, “Spartak – Merkuri”, “Arktik – Universitet”  and SKIF-2).

Women’s National team Head Coach Mikhail Chekanov:

-          I would like to congratulate everyone with the start of the Championship. Let’s wish successful season to our clubs so that it helps to prepare National team candidates to Olympic Games. National team doors are always open and coaching staff will closely follow the matches’ results of the Championship of Russia.
