16.11.2018
After winning the 2018 CIBC Canada Russia Series, Valery Bragin, Dmitry Zavgorodniy and Pavel Shen all spoke to the media.
Russia U20 head coach Valery Bragin:
- It was very important to save the match and turn it around at the end. It was tough for some of our players, especially at the beginning. Nevertheless, with each passing game, we are adapting and improving. Our powerplay needs to improve, while the penalty kill is excellent. The goalkeepers were solid. There are three-four positions which require clarification.
Russia U20 forward Pavel Shen:
- The way we saved the game is a hugely positive factor for us with the future in mind. We'll be in a great mood for the training camp before the 2019 World Junior Championship. We will try to continue making the fans happy! When playing in this series, you become a family with a teammate, the schedule is really tough. This victory helps bring us together. I'm the top goalscorer? Each goal is a result of our teamwork.
Russia U20 forward Dmitry Zavgorodniy:
- I got lucky to find a shooting lane and hit the target. The coaches trusted me line with competing in that decisive moment. We all tried our best to be useful to the team and I have a lot of emotions from the competition.
