2018 World Championship. Russia - Switzerland

On May 12, the senior Russian national team will play Switzerland in the fifth 2018 World Championship group stage match.

Our players made a fantastic start to the competition, defeating France and Austria by a score of 7:0 before a 6:0 win over Belarus. However, in the fourth match against the Czech Republic, the Russians dropped a disappointing 3:4 defeat in overtime. Vasily Koshechkin has started three of the four games with Igor Shestyorkin playing against the Belarusians.

Yesterday, our players worked out in these following lines:

Goalkeepers: Koshechkin, Shestyorkin, Sorokin.

Reds: Gavrikov, Kiselevich - Gusev, Datsyuk, Kaprizov.

Whites: Nesterov, Zaitsev - Grigorenko, Anisimov, Buchnevich.

Blues: Yakovlev, Bereglazov - Dadonov, Andronov, Mikheev.

Yellows: Tryamkin - Barabanov, Kablukov, Shalunov, Soshnikov, Mamin.

Switzerland beat Austria 3:2 in a penalty shootout, then getting the better of Slovakia 3:2 and Belarus 5:2. Their only loss came against the Czech Republic 4:5 on penalties.

Puck drop is scheduled for 21:15 Moscow time. Match TV will broadcast in Russia.
