In the second 2018 ALROSA Cup match, the Russian Olympic team defeated Belarus 1:0 at the Yubileyny Arena in Saint Petersburg.

After a goalless opening 60 minutes, the match went into overtime, where Russia's Alexei Vasilevskiy scored the winning goal on the powerplay with only 21 seconds remaining on the clock. Goalkeeper Igor Saprykin saved 18 Belarusian shots to earn a shutout.
