The under 20 Russian national team edged past the U18 national side 4:3 in a thrilling opening match of the Future Cup in Saint Petersburg.

With the score locked at 3:3 with a mere three minutes remaining, Nikita Surayev stole the points for our U20 team, firmly wristing into the net from the right circle after receiving a clever pass from SKA teammate Nikita Nedopyokin.

Tomorrow, Russia U20 will face Kazakhstan U20 at 19:30 local time. For their part, our U18 players will take on Belarus U20 at 15:00.
