Krasnoyarsk Krai won the Spartakiada!

The 2024 Winter Spartakiada took place in Chelyabinsk Region between the 9th and 18th of February, with competitions covering 16 different sports having been staged.
A women's ice hockey tournament was held with teams representing Moscow, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Moscow Region, Saint Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Chelyabinsk Region and Sverdlovsk Region participating in it. The participating teams were split up between two groups.
Following the group phase, the knockouts were subsequently contested, with Krasnoyarsk Krai eventually claiming the gold medal thanks to a tense 2:1 triumph over the Republic of Bashkortostan in the grand final!
Saint Petersburg earned the bronze as a consequence of their 4:2 win against Moscow Region in the third place playoff.
Dmitry Kurbatov, the executive director of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, handed out the medals after the competition had reached its conclusion.
