Russia U20's first training session in 2017

02.01.2017

After training for the first time in 2017, the under 20 Russian national team gave a couple of interviews ahead of tomorrow's big World Junior Championship quarter-final against Denmark.

Russia U20 defenseman Grigory Dronov:

- Denmark have a good team with quality players. We're preparing seriously for the match, we can't underestimate them. Last year's match? We can't allow the same thing to happen, we must play our style.

In my first game, I felt nervous. Playing with different teammates? It's the same situation as in my club, I'm already used to it.

Russia U20 forward Denis Alexeev:

- How did we celebrate New Year? The coach congratulated us, and we all went back to our hotel rooms. Denmark are similar to Slovakia, however they are a bit faster. There are no weak opponents at this tournament. Our goal is to win gold.

We are improving with every game, I hope that it will be the same against Denmark.
