We take a look at the statistics to emerge from the quarter-final of the 2022 Olympic Games between the ROC men's ice hockey team and Denmark (3:1):
- In the 47th Olympic match since 1994, our national team earned the 30th victory;
- Our players went 233 minutes and one second without conceding against the Danes at this year's tournament, a record for our national team against one particular Olympic opponent since 1992;
- Boasting eight (3+5) points in 15 competition appearances, Vyacheslav Voynov is our team's top scoring defenseman at the Olympics since 1994;
- Taking into account the World Championship, Olympic Games and the World Cup, forward Nikita Gusev has now contributed with 51 (16+35) points for the senior national team. Only Evgeny Dadonov (53), Alexei Yashin (57), Alexander Ovechkin (79), Pavel Datsyuk (80), Evgeny Malkin (86) and Ilya Kovalchuk (108) have registered more points for the senior national team at the tournaments in question than Gusev since 1992.
