The RIHF warns against working with agents without accreditation

The Russian Hockey Federation (RIHF) emphasises that in accordance with Federal Law No. 329-FZ of 4 December 2007 concerning Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation, sporting agents are subject to accreditation in order to work in the Russian Federation. Working with non-accredited sporting agents entails the application of sanctions including fines and disqualification for both the players and employees of ice hockey clubs. The current list of accredited agents is available on the RIHF website in the "Hockey Agents" section.
Such persons as Yegor Grishatov, Sergei Fedotov, Andrey Mukhachev, Valeri Matveev, Gennady Ushakov, Denis Loginov, Vadim Kormilitsyn, Alexander Galaisha, Paul Theofanos, Dan Milstein, Mark Gandler are not in possession of RIHF accreditation for the employment of athletes of professional ice hockey clubs and therefore it is prohibited to work with them.
Furthermore, in accordance with paragraph 35 of Art. 13 of the Federal Law of 4 May 2011 No. 99-FZ concerning Licensing Certain Types of Activities, the provision of employment services for citizens of the Russian Federation outside the territory of the Russian Federation is subject to licensing. Licensing is carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The activities of persons offering employment of athletes to ice hockey clubs of the Russian Federation without RIHF accreditation and outside the territory of the Russian Federation without an appropriate license fall under the signs of fraud in accordance with Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Materials regarding the revealed facts of violations are transferred to law enforcement agencies.
