Competition in memory of Marat Kalimulin

On January 5, in the village of Yagodnoe, the Tolyatti Ice Hockey Federation organised a competition for amateur teams in memory of Marat Kalimulin, who tragically died in the plane crash involving HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl on 7 September 2011. Teams named Marat (Yagodnoe), Loko (Tolyatti) and Yamash (Yamash, Tatarstan) participated in the tournament.

Sergei Kobylyansky (Minister of Sport for Samara Region) and Alexander Varlamov (chairman of the board of the regional ice hockey federation) addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. At the end of the ceremony, president of the Tolyatti Icee Hockey Federation Anton Sekletov opened the tournament. Head of the Yagodnoe village Alexei Lapaev and HC Lada Tolyatti general director Alexander Chebotarev were guests of the ceremony.

Despite the cool temperature of -25 degrees celsius, the teams competed for six hours. The tournament was shown on local television.

The Marat team from Yagodnoe won the competition.

The Tolyatti Ice Hockey Federation expresses its sincere gratitude to:
