2021 World U18 Championship. Russia - Czech Republic - 11:1

In the concluding match of the group stage of the 2021 IIHF World U18 Championship, the under 18 Russian national team didn't encounter any problems against the Czech Republic, cruising to an emphatic 11:1 victory to secure second place of Group B.

Once again, 16-year-old forward Matvei Michkov was the star of the show, scoring three fantastic goals for our team. Prokhor Poltapov and Fyodor Svechkov both tallied two markers, while Arseniy Koromyslov, Ivan Miroshnichenko, Dmitry Katelevsky and Danila Yurov also got on the board.

Goalkeeper Sergei Ivanov stopped 21 of the 22 Czech shots he faced.

Russia will now prepare to face Belarus in the quarter-finals of the competition in the USA. Puck-drop is scheduled for 20:30 Moscow time.
