Reaction following the first Euro Hockey Challenge match in Switzerland

30.04.2021
Following the first of two 2020/2021 Euro Hockey Challenge meetings against Switzerland on the road (1:3), senior Russian national team head coach Valeri Bragin and defenseman Yegor Yakovlev shared their emotions:
Head coach Valeri Bragin:
- We are continuing to prepare for the World Championship, we're working hard. The opponents moved well on the ice, it was clear that they're fresher than us. We didn't play well enough throughout the match. Nevertheless, at the same time, we did create a number of opportunities to score. There will be changes to the line-up tomorrow, we are working out who we will bring to the World Championship.
Defenseman Yegor Yakovlev:
- We knew that Switzerland have a strong team, we had a serious attitude for the game. However, the opponents were faster than us, we have been engaging in a challenging training process. Moreover, we hadn't played on such a large rink for a long while. That was the reason why we made mistakes.
