The Commission for Player Transfers has allowed Ivan Miroshnichenko to join Avangard
23.12.2020
The Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Branch Commission for Player Transfers in Voskresensk on 23 December 2020, based on the application of HC Avangard Omsk and the parents of player Ivan Miroshnichenko, born in 2004, and in connection with the player's father and the player himself changing residence, allowed the player to transfer from the Vityaz school to the Avangard Omsk ice hockey academy based on the terms of payment of deferred compensation.
The decision was made in accordance with Article 14 of the "On the Status and Transfers of Junior Players" regulation.
At the same time, the Vityaz school retains the right to receive compensation when a professional contract is signed by Ivan Miroshnichenko, which the club will have to pay later.
When considering the case, the Commission received information that the player was represented by Mark Gandler during the transfer negotiations.
Mark Gandler is an unaccredited agent, and work with him is prohibited on the basis of the federal “On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation” law and the “On the Activities of Ice Hockey Agents” regulation.
The RIHF emphasises that working with an unaccredited ice hockey agent entails the imposition of monetary fines on the involved ice hockey players and clubs.
Official accreditation of agents by the RIHF is not only an official condition, but also a guarantee of transparency in the employment of ice hockey players and coaches. Therefore, agents who provide assistance or act on behalf of non-accredited persons may be deprived of accreditation.
Players and their respective parents need to remember that a successful sporting career is based not only on discipline and talent, but also on reputation. It is necessary to play by the rules both on and off the ice.
