The RIHF presented the Red Machine National Development Program in Ufa

Between the 22nd and 23rd of September, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) presented the Red Machine National Development Program in Ufa, Bashkortostan during a conference concerning matters with regard to the development of ice hockey and coaches' education.
The conference was organised by the Ministry of Sport, the RIHF, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the United Ice Hockey Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, HC Salavat Yulaev Ufa and the Bashkir Institute of Physical Culture. The topics of the conference generated great interest among ice hockey coaches, with more than 150 specialists attending from regions of Russia such as Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Ufa, Omsk and also experts from the Czech Republic, Belarus and Uzbekistan.
In the format of a plenary session, RIHF representatives presented a report about the implementation of the Red Machine National Development Program as a method to ensure that talented players will have a clear route to professional ice hockey. The main subject for discussion was the fact that the program is a part of the federal "Sport is a a Normal Way of Life" project, as both Russian and foreign experts participated in the talks. The speakers emphasied the importance of the Red Machine National Development Program as a state program for the modernisation of how ice hockey players train in Russia.
Following the discussions, RIHF specialists held a presenation of the Red Machine National Development Program, with the conference participants receiving printed methodological publications. In the practical part of the event, a master class was held based on the methodological materials of the program, with the lesson attended by 20 players between the ages of 11 and 12 alongside coaches. RIHF specialists demonstrated new exercises of the program aimed at increasing the efficiency of technical training. In the final part of the event, which was a discussion about the master class itself, exchanges of experience and knowledge took place.
