Vyacheslav Butsaev is 50!

Olympic champion and current Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk head coach, Vyacheslav Butsaev, celebrates his birthday on June 13th.

Today, he turned 50 years of age.

During his career as an ice hockey player, Vyacheslav won the 1992 Olympic Games, 1993 World Championship and the Russian championship in 2002 and 2003, while also claiming a 2002 World Championship silver medal and a 1991 World Championship bronze medal. He registered 194 (94+100) points in 376 domestic championship matches.

He has coached CSKA Moscow (2012-2013), HC Sochi (2014-2017) and Neftekhimik (2018-present) in the KHL.
