80 years since the birth of Alexander Almetov

The 18th of January marks the 80th anniversary of Alexander Almetov's birthday.

During his glittering career, Alexander won the 1964 Olympic Games, 1960 Olympic silver and the World Championship five times between 1963 and 1967.

He passed away on the 21st of September 1992.

His memory lives on.
