Reaction after defeating Serbia in Saint Petersburg
28.04.2019
Russian Olympic team head coach Oleg Bratash:
- The players had seen Serbia's last match and understood their possibilities. However, despite telling them to play with concentration, their mindset wasn't right. We improved as the game progressed. The next match against the RF North-West will be like a final.
Russian Olympic team goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov:
- Actually, it was a difficult match for us, we had trouble scoring goals. The opposing goalkeeper was strong. In the end, we improved in the second and third periods. The Serbians are dangerous when playing on the powerplay. We tried to play the entire 60 minutes.
Russian Olympic team goalkeeper Daniil Tarasov:
- I want to say thank you to the coaches for giving me the chance to play in this match! I tried not to let the team down. I would also like to congratulate the under 18 Russian national team with their qualification for the 2019 IIHF World Championship final.
