Vladimir Filatov: "The guys wanted to show their capabilities"

Vladimir Filatov, head coach of the under 18 Russian national team spoke after the 5:0 win against MHC Atlanty which was a part of the preparations for the upcoming Five Nations tournament in Sochi.

Russia U18 head coach Vladimir Filatov:

- Our task is to win the Five Nations competition in Sochi, it's the last test for us ahead of the 2019 World U18 Championship. In junior ice hockey, players generally begin to show their true potential at completely different stages, one player is superb at 15 while another only displays his talent at 18. All players in this team are leading figures for the respective MHL clubs, they all deserve a chance at the World Championship, however there is high competition for a place in the squad. Taking into account that we've only just started training, it's too early to start talking about players individually. Today, they wanted to show their potential, and their eyes were burning with desire.
