Presentation of the Red Machine National Development Program in Khabarovsk

On December 26, the Red Machine National Development Program was presented in Khabarovsk while a master-class for young ice hockey players also took place.
The event which covered the "Philosophy and Basic Principles of the Red Machine National Development Program" was organised by the Russian Ice Hockey Federation with the support of the Khabarovsk Region government.
Russian national team team leader and first RIHF vice-president Roman Rotenberg opened the conference with a speech:
- On behalf of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, I would like to thank our colleagues from Khabarovsk Region for their cooperation in organising this event. Our main goal is to help introduce the Red Machine National Development Program to as many regions as possible. Different cities are approaching us and asking for us to hold presentations about the project. For the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, it's important that the National Development Program begins operation as soon as possible, and for it to be managed correctly with the right goals and targets. The program contains everything required to nuture a professional player. Important aspects such as nutrition, equipment, physical training, psychology, medicine details, anti-doping rules and recommendations for parents are all included in the program. The program will be introduced to over 600 children's ice hockey schools and its first positive results will be witnessed in the next two to three seasons.
Deputy chairman of the Khabarovsk Region government Alexander Katsuba:
- Ice hockey development is a priority for Khabarovsk Region. I am sure that new ice hockey players who have progressed through the Khabarovsk Region system will soon start appearing. The Red Machine National Development Program will assist us in this goal.
Senior Russian national team head coach llya Vorobyov and Russian Olympic team head coach Oleg Bratash spoke about the main advantages of the Red Machine National Development Program and materials of the program were then handed to participants of the conference.
A master-class was then held for young players under the guidelines of the Red Machine National Development. Individual development coach and Red Machine National Development Program coach Daniel Bochner, Olympic champion Alexander Mogilniy and others ran the training session.
