World Challenge Cup. Russia U17 - Canada Red - 4:2

In Canada, the under 17 Russian national team made a strong start to the 2018 World Challenge Cup, defeating the hosts 4:2 in a difficult match.

Interestingly, the match was initially stopped midway through the third period, before it restarted a day later with seven minutes remaining. Russia U17 were leading 3:1 at the time.

Vasily Ponomarev, Pavel Tyutnev, Ilya Rychkov and Marat Khusnutdinov scored the Russian goals. The team will take on Finland in the next tournament game.
