Valery Znarok has died

On August 30, Valery Znarok, the father of 2018 Olympic champion, 2014 world champion Oleg Znarok and RIHF coach Igor Znarok, passed away.
Valery Znarok was born on March 16, 1939 and worked as a football coach. He played for Ural Ust Katav, Torpedo Miass before coaching Lokomotiv Chelyabinsk, Uralets Nizhny Tagil, Torpedo Miass, Zenit Chelyabinsk, Nosta Novotroitsk, UralAZ Miass and FC Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
The Russian Ice Hockey Federation extends its deepest condolences to Oleg, Igor, and all of Valery's friends and family.
