A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the RIHF and Turkmenistan

On May 19, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and the Turkmenistan Ice Hockey Federation.

The document, which was signed by Russian Ice Hockey Federation president Vladislav Tretiak and Turkmenistan Ice Hockey Federation president Dzhora Khudayberdyev, concerns a long-term development program involving the two parties.

The parties agreed to create the required facilities for effective cooperation, exchanging experiences and constantly working together in all aspects of the sport. There is also an agreement for the RIHF to assist the TIHF in creating and developing an ice hockey referee program in Turkmenistan.

There will be friendly matches between Russia and Turkmenistan, Russian ice hockey clubs will compete in exhibition games in Turkmenistan, tournaments between youth teams of the countries, coaching seminars and exchanges of experiences with coaches and club managements with the goal of developing the sport professionally.
