2018 World Championship. Russia - Sweden

On May 15, the senior Russian national team will play Sweden in the final 2018 World Championship group stage match.

Russia have earned five wins from six matches so far, defeating France and Austria by a score of 7:0 before beating Belarus 6:0, Switzerland 4:3 and Slovakia 4:0. The sole loss came 3:4 in overtime against the Czech Republic.

On the other hand, Sweden are perfect at this competition, getting the better of Slovakia 3:2 in overtime, Belarus 5:0, Austria 7:0, France 4:0, the Czech Republic 3:2 and Switzerland 5:3. Their top scorer is Richard Rakell with 11 (5+6) points.

The winner of this match will finish in first place of Group A. At the moment, Sweden occupy pole position with 17 points, but Russia are only one behind.

Puck drop is scheduled for 21:15 Moscow time. Channel One will broadcast live in Russia.
