The senior Russian national team will take on Slovakia in the sixth 2018 World Championship group stage match in Denmark.

Russia started the tournament with two successive 7:0 wins against France and Austria, before defeating Belarus 6:0. However, the matches have become more difficult recently, with our players losing 3:4 in overtime to the Czech Republic and narrowly beating Switzerland 4:3 on Saturday.

In Group A, Slovakia occupy fifth position, taking eight points from five matches. The Slovaks got the better of Austria 3:1 and France 4:2, while losing to the Czech Republic 2:3 (OT), Sweden 3:4 (OT) and Switzerland 0:2.

Forward Ladislav Nagy is Slovakia's oldest player at the age of 38. Interestingly, Nagy's first World Championship was back in 2000, and he boasts 32 (16+16) points in 45 tournament matches.

Puck drop is scheduled for 17:15 Moscow time. Channel One will broadcast live in Russia.
