The all-Russian club tournament has started at the Sirius Centre

At the Sirius Educational Centre, the all-Russian club tournament has started with the best teams of inter-regional competitions participating: Ak Bars Kazan, Piter Saint Petersburg, Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, Khimik Voskresensk, Rus Moscow, Ermak Angarsk and Legion Volgograd. 205 players born in 2003 will take part.

Metallurg, Ak Bars, Rus and Khimik won their opening games on April 13. The competition will continue for a further five days.

Candidates for the under 16 Russian national team will be chosen as a result of performances at the tournament.

In Moscow, the Russian Minister of Sport Oleg Matytsin held a meeting with the first vice-president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Roman Rotenberg and the the special RIHF representative for international affairs and member of the IIHF Council Pavel Bure.
