The RIHF have started an investigation connected with a violation in an amateur match

During an amateur ice hockey match on March 9 at the 2018 Challenge Cup in Odintsovo, forward Andrei Kovalenko hit referee Vladislav Kiselyov after he was angry with a decision.

In accordance with the RIHF Code of Ethics, all sectors of ice hockey in Russia should comply with the principles of integrity, honesty, loyalty and morality in the sport.

Sticking by the Code of Ethics and in connection with an appeal lodged by the tournament, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation have started an investigation against Andrei Kovalenko's violation.

The RIHF have also taken into account Vladislav Kiselyov's appeal to the law enforcement agencies about Andrei Kovalenko's behaviour.
