In memory of Viktor Tikhonov

On June 4, legendary Soviet ice hockey coach Viktor Tikhonov would have turned 91 years of age.
During his stunning coaching career, Viktor notably won the Olympic Games three times (1984, 1988, 1992) and the World Championship on eight occasions (1978, 1979, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1986, 1989, 1990) as head coach of the country's senior national team.
Sadly, he died on 24 November 2014.
