Alexander Ulyankin: "Our work should bring us the results"
The junior women's national head coach Alexander Ulyankin spoke about the team's preparations for the tournament:
- The team have had six training camps, and during this time we have looked at 48 players. The strongest 23 players are here in Canada, and we have made this choice based on friendly games and tournaments.
- How long has the team been in Canada?
- We arrived in Toronto around New Year. The final camp was held in Port Colborne, there we trained on the ice and in the gym.
- What can you say about the team's opponents in Canada?
- Usually, the USA and Canada are the main contenders for medals. Around five other teams are of the same level, there are no weak teams.
- In what shape is our team?
- In my opinion, we are going into this World Championship in optimal form. We have been working seriously, and this should give us a result. I can say with confidence that we have a good atmosphere within the team, everyone is ready to win.
