Ilya Lyubushkin: "It's really good that the coaches trust the younger players"

12.02.2016

Russian national team defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin had his say on the team's Euro Hockey Tour match against the Czech Republic:

- I think that we played well today. We could have won, we simply needed to score one goal more. In the penalty shootout, we were a bit unlucky. I think that the conclusions which we will make from this game will help us on Saturday. When stepping out on to the ice today, there were some nerves. Nevertheless, if the coaches chose such a line-up, they know what they are doing. In my opinion, it's really good that they are trusting the younger players.
