The RIHF president Vladislav Tretyak has visited Pskov

Russian Ice Hockey Federation president Vladislav Tretyak has paid a visit to Pskov to meet players of the local school, as well as their parents and coaches,

In the discussion, Vladislav spoke about lack of ice hockey rinks in Russia overall. In his words, ice hockey's popularity is huge, and that there is not enough ice to support this. He also noted that the north-west is one of the worst areas for articfial ice, and he stated that in April he will holda meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin about the development of ice hockey.

When asked about ice hockey in Pskov Region, Vladislav replied that players have been playing the sport since they were five years old, and that they need a youth league. He paid special attention on to the fact that the region should have a minimum of two major ice hockey arenas.
